Alongside partners and friends such as Next.cc and the Ace Mentor Program, KIDmob had the opportunity to speak at a special K12 Design Education Session at this year's Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture conference in San Francisco. The session was full of collaboration, energy, and enthusiasm, with a strong push for more support in K12 design from ACSA.
INTERSECTION INCUBATOR!
We are super stoked to have been accepted into the Intersection for the Arts' Incubator program. We are now fiscally sponsored, which enables us to operate as a nonprofit via IFA's umbrella 501(c)(3) status. Bring on the grants!
FORMER KIDMOB STUDENT, BEST OF SHOW
We are excited to announce that Bryson Battagin is being recognized for engineering a solar powered 3d printer. Bryson was a member of the small student team that we worked with during our Fall 2011 Makerbot workshop at Indian Valley Academy. Go Bryson!
CCA IMPACT AWARDS
We were excited to be nominated as finalists at the CCA Impact Awards this year! Although we did not win the award, we are proud to have been able to stand amongst some truly awesome teams. From solar powered mobile charging stations to radiowaves in rural Alaska, we left the awards ceremony inspired. Good luck to the winners! Read more about the finalist teams here.
